About the Event
This event is open to PLA Members and their guests. Seating will be cabaret style and participants may bring their own beverages and food. This event is free, however, donations will be collected by the theater group. Donations have amounted to more than $10,000 to UNICEF Relief Fund for Ukrainian Children.
Synopsis:
Words from the Front is a unique presentation. It began to take shape at the very beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, and is based on a collection of actual text messages, Facebook posts and emails that have been exchanged in real time. In Words from the Front, Russians give voice to their fears and their hopes, and a Ukrainian soldier, defending his country, conveys an irrepressible optimism in spite of the tragedies unfolding day by day.
